When in the middle of Fight the Bhagavad Gita was being told, Arjuna questioned, “should an ascetic, who is in the resigned order of his or her life and who has ceased his material world relations, promote the marriage ceremony?”  The Krishna answered politely, “The marriage ceremony is intended to govern the human mind to become passive for religious progress.”
