(installing)

OpenBSD

  • 4.1 installs, configures, runs fine. problems with ulimits and stack protection in userspace makes it a bit too paranoid for ghc and sbcl development.

FreeBSD

  • (v5.4 and 6.0-current) needs a bit of encouragement to use a usb keyboard, and the rl0 interface. to use an apple keyboard (or presumably any other usb keyboard) interupt the boot process when it asks, and
    ( set hint.atkbd.0.flags=0x1)

. dhcp wont, so manual network config is required.

(conflabulating)

(cvsup -g -L 2 /usr/share/examples/cvsup/stable-supfile -h cvsup.de.FreeBSD.org)
