| Inhabiting uncertainty or speculating about what tomorrow might bring comes naturally to some, but requires practice for others. Openness, observation, curiosity, noticing outliers and 'what-if’ thinking are just a few of the many aptitudes or mindsets to approach working with futures. In this section we describe some of these capacities and suggest ways to develop them. Some of these mindsets may require lifestyle changes and years of dedication; others nothing more than an occasional glance or simple reminder.
