Media Files ===== On The Aesthetics Of Wind-Tunnels. ===== //Saint Joseph of Cupertino, during an aerodynamics test. (Watercolor)// {{windtunnel-s.jpg|windtunnel-s.jpg}} If there is any place on Earth that resonates with Platonic beauty it is the wind-tunnel. A chilly, highly specialized place far removed from daily life, reminiscent even of Hieronymus Bosch's tunnel of light that leads the way to heaven. Lit beautifully by cold fluorescent light, this is a room that feels like its moving at high speed. Wind inside a building is strange anyway, but a room constructed especially for it is an enigma, which I think is at its best when seen empty. **So here are a few tunnels-pictures from my collection.** {{bosch-tunnel.jpg|bosch-tunnel.jpg}}{{Scaled_Image_1.jpg|Scaled_Image_1.jpg}} 1 2 {{4219-095.jpg|4219-095.jpg}}{{3a03f1.jpg|3a03f1.jpg}} 3 4 {{8141_11470.jpg|8141_11470.jpg}}{{AC86-8010-6_a.jpg|AC86-8010-6_a.jpg}}{{AC96-0344-59.jpg|AC96-0344-59.jpg}} 5 6 7 {{AC92-0149-2_a.jpg|AC92-0149-2_a.jpg}} 8 {{f_bou_windtunnel.jpg|f_bou_windtunnel.jpg}}{{pin_wind.jpg|pin_wind.jpg}} 9 10 {{url.jpg|url.jpg}} 11 Credits: - 1. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scheol - 2. source untraceable - 3. http://history.nasa.gov - 4. http://www.scielo.org.ar - 5. http://www.daimlerchrysler.com - 6. http://aocentral.arc.nasa.gov - 7. http://aocentral.arc.nasa.gov - 8. http://aocentral.arc.nasa.gov - 9. http://www.daidalospeutz.be - 10. http://arc.pininfarina.it - 11. http://www.etw.de -- [[Theun Karelse]] - 18 Feb 2007 Please fill all the letters into the box to prove you're human.
